Us is an anti-war play for 3-actors (God, Richard and Lisa) & Chorus that presents War (domestic and otherwise) in two acts, with one set. It was written by Barbara Stewart for Yale classmate Michael Early, who believed the challenge for today’s playwrights was to create roles for black actors that were not “black roles ” or “white roles that could be played by black actors” – just good roles. The role created for Michael was GOD -- which is colorful, but not color dependent. Share Arts is seeking suitable production.
